It’s been quite the month for The BB Warrior; We celebrated our 6 year anniversary, had a few new videos and livestreams and launched the website. With so much new content, let’s review everything that happened in December 2020!
New Videos
December saw a return to regularly scheduled videos, starting with the video Why You SHOULDN’T Buy an Airsoft Sniper Rifle as Your First Gun!
This was a topic I’ve wanted to discuss for awhile because I’ve met a lot of people who want to buy a sniper as their first airsoft gun, but don’t know what airsoft sniping is really like. They watch videos on YouTube and think that sniping is fast paced and that they’ll rack up kills. If you’ve ever tried sniping yourself, you know this isn’t what it’s like in reality. It’s slow, methodical and takes a lot of skill. I made the recommendation that new players should look at AEGs for their first airsoft gun because they’re easier to use, allowed at more fields, and they’d have a better time with them.
The second video of December was a little different from what I normally do on the channel. In the video At Home Shooting Fun? REKT OpSix Foam Dart Launcher I explored these unique foam dart guns that are powered by CO2. Because of this, they go incredibly far and the pistols have a very realistic design while still clearly being a toy. I’ve been at home a lot not playing much airsoft, and these have definitely helped fill that void.
Near the end of the month, I was able to squeeze in one final video before we kicked off 2021. In Top 5 Iconic Airsoft Replicas, I took a look at airsoft guns that I felt were instantly recognizable. When you see them on the field you know what they are immediately and why they’re special. This was a really fun video to make, and now I really want to add some of these airsoft guns to my collection!
Livestreams
This month saw the return of livestreams to the channel! This livestream was to celebrate the launch of this website, and I had a ton of fun doing it. I always love the interaction with you guys in livestreams, and there will definitely be more in the future. You can watch the livestream here:
Website Launch
December saw a huge step forward for The BB Warrior with the creation of this website. I wanted a place I could create my content without worrying about YouTube’s monetization policies, which have increasingly been demonetizing my video content. Here, I can write about topics that I wouldn’t have been able to do in video form, and have another way to help players with their airsoft questions. A dozen articles have been posted since the launch of the website in mid December, but a few reader favorites have been:
